Step 3 - Run Micro-Tubing™ from the Solar Collectors to the Heat Exchanger

Basic Steps:

  • Dig a trench (minimum 8"-deep) from (ground-mounted) Collectors to entry point of house.
  • Drill one 1-1/4" hole through sill.
  • Run Micro-Tubing and low-voltage wire from Collectors to Heat Exchanger.
  • For roof-mounted, run Micro-Tubing and wire down the outside of the house, or inside, through attic or closet.

Install Micro-Tubing

Tools Needed:

  • Shovel
  • Tubing cutter
  • Electric drill with 5/8” bit
  • Trencher (optional)

Estimated Time: 5 hours with a helper (Assumes digging a 50' trench)
